Up with the lark...

It’s often been said that us photographers will do anything for a great shot!

True to form, one morning last week I was up at 5am to head down to East Sussex to catch some early morning light for a wedding pre-shoot.  Camber Sands, a popular sandy beach with picturesque sand dunes and interesting wildlife, has long been a favourite location for fashion photographers.  I can't quite believe it's been 15 years since I was last there shooting for Next, how time flies!

Before their wedding at Durham Cathedral in August, clients Natalia and Stephen asked me to get some shots of them together on the beach there.  They are both so into photography and have said it’s the most important thing for them apart from marrying each other.  No pressure then!

I think they’re pretty pleased with the results, I know I am…

Do let me know what you think and if you’d like some photos of you and your loved ones, please just give me a ring and let’s have a chat.

One of my favourite venues...

A couple of weeks ago, I was lucky enough to photograph this wonderful wedding at Marble Hill House in Twickenham for Cordelia and Nicholas.

Marble Hill House is a Palladian villa beside the River Thames, situated halfway between Richmond and Twickenham to the south-west of Central London.

For the first time, it recently played host to the Foodies Festival, a summer food and drink festival with many top celebrity chefs attending.  There are more of these great festivals at venues around the country over the coming couple of months.  If you’d like to know more you can visit the website: http://foodiesfestival.com

Marble Hill is an outstanding venue as it’s set in 66 acres of beautiful riverside parkland.  Definitely one of my favourite venues, in fact, might even become my own wedding venue one day when Rach and I finally get around to tying the knot!  You heard it here first…!

There was both rain and sun to contend with but nothing was going to spoil this couple’s special day and that's exactly how it should be.

I hope you enjoy the photos, it really was such an elegant wedding…
