Freya & Mark at Bury Court, Farnham.

Heres one of my favourite Winter weddings which took place at St Andrews in Farnham and the lovely  Bury Court Barn near Farnham.  Its a venue I have been to on several times and is the perfect setting for Winter weddings.  I'me sure its perfect for the rest of the year, but not had the chance yet to shoot there any other time of the year.  Hopefully soon as I know its a very popular venue which is set up perfectly for weddings.
Freya and Mark certainly organised a great do, which included a magician to keep guests entertained during the reception, also loads of champagne helped.  Unfortunately being a photographer is a bit like been a policeman.  No drinking on duty.  The pics could get quite abstract to say the least.

Sineaid & Gavin at Hengrave Manor

Amazing venue full of history and even its own chapel in the grounds.  It was beautifully styled by Sineaid who did an amazing job by dressing the venue perfectly.  Ime sure lots of dosh was spent, but what the heck.  Its a wedding, and one of the most special days of your life.  Glad they had some money left to spend on photography as the photos are so important.  Its the one thing you can always look back on and remember what a great day it was.
I always set out to tell the narrative of the day and usually take about 1500 images during the day.  This is then edited down to around 500 photoshopped images and then narrowed down by the client to around 100 images if an album is required.  Having an album does allow me to design it in a way that tells the story and brings out the best of the images.  I always shoot with an album in mind and thinking about how a double page spread will balance out. So anybody thinking of having a photographer should always leave a bit of budget for an album.  I realise that this can be expensive so my pricing allows for this to be done even a year or two later.
Hope you like the pictures.

Becky & Jonathan

Most of my commissions come from from recommendations and it was great to get the nod to photograph Becky and Jonathan's wedding early last October.  Its always a great time of year to shoot, as I think the light can be at its best this time of year.  It has a certain crispness and is great to use as backlight, which eliminates any problems with shadows on faces etc.  You also get a great transition from daylight to darkness which really carry the images through the narrative of the day.
It was such fun, but hard work chasing after the happy couple in their VW Beetle.  Managed to shoot a few images through the windscreen when we stopped at lights, and finally got to the marquee in the middle of a field just in time to get some lovely images with some lens flare creeping in to give the images some extra early Autumn atmosphere.
The rest of the evening was brilliant with the surprise of some singing waiters who managed to fool everyone even serving everyone throughout the wedding breakfast.  It was a great day.
P.S. You can add a caption to the sword and cake shot.
